F.A.Q.

When I give at LGC, where does the money go?
Great question! Your giving makes discipleship and mission happen. Every dollar that you give helps provide for the training of believers, preaching the Word of God, and supplying the resources needed to share the gospel-centered ministry here in Sublette, KS and across the world!

Giving at LGC funds the operating expenses (such as utilities, equipment, light bulbs, and children’s curriculum materials,) as well as the building loan and staff are also covered by the giving from people like you.

How can I give?
Giving at LGC is simple and secure. You can bring cash or check to any of our worship services on Sunday mornings, or you can give online (one time or recurring) via our secure online portal.

Should I give based on my pre-tax or after-tax income?
Many people think about their giving as percentage of their money coming, but should you use gross or net income? The most common view is that gross earning are the amount of God’s provision, and that the tithe should be based on 10% of one’s income. Taxes are generally considered payment for the privileges and services provided by the government. Though scripture doesn’t necessarily specify or use the terms “gross” or “net,” it is important to remember that the spirit in which we give is of greatest value of God. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 9: 6-7 that “The point is this:  whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, non reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
